Public Affairs Officer
Kings River Conservation District

Cristel Tufenkjian is the Public Affairs Officer for the Kings River Conservation District (KRCD), a water, power and environmental resources management agency encompassing 1.2 million acres in the central San Joaquin Valley. As Public Affairs Officer, Tufenkjian is responsible for implementing all aspects of the District’s public information program.

Tufenkjian is also active on several committees and organizations. Currently she is serving on the Association of California Water Agencies’ Communications Committee and is chair of the Central Valley Water Awareness Committee. Tufenkjian also serves as Treasurer for the Water Safety Council of Fresno County and is a member of the Kings County Water Education Committee and the Tulare County Farm Bureau’s Education Committee. Tufenkjian is a member and past chair of the Greater Fresno Area Chamber of Commerce Agriculture, Water and Environmental Committee and an Associate Volunteer for the Educational Employees Credit Union.

Tufenkjian, a native of Fresno, CA, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from Fresno State and belongs to the Honorary Societies of Alpha Zeta and Phi Kappa Phi.
